Community Requests

As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, Redwood Credit Union (RCU) is committed to serving the greatest needs of the communities where our Members and employees primarily live and work.

The best way to ensure we’re meeting these commitments is through thoughtful and balanced planning. We create our community plan in the autumn each year for implementation the following year. While we consider requests for support throughout the year, the majority of efforts and support are determined during our planning process.

Interested non-profit and community groups can submit requests for support by completing a Request for RCU Community Support form.

Request for Community Support Form

We will evaluate each request carefully, and utilize the following guiding criteria:

  • Support addresses the greatest needs of the communities we serve
  • Support is for local efforts that benefit the non-profits and cities/counties where there are RCU branches
  • Support allows RCU to positively impact the greatest number of people in our communities
  • Support allows RCU to balance our community giving in all areas we serve
  • General support for social safety net issues (food, housing, family support)
